Long‑Term Volunteer Opportunity: Program Mentor (1–2 hrs/month)1fur1 volunteer

Ideal for: Executive‑level professionals, nonprofit leaders, operations experts, and anyone who enjoys coaching others.

Our Mentor Program pairs skilled volunteers with small nonprofit partners in our network. You’ll receive training from us and conduct monthly video meetings from the comfort of your home or office. This is a low‑time‑commitment, high‑impact role that helps emerging organizations thrive.

As a mentor, you will:

  • Gain personal satisfaction by coaching nonprofit founders and directors
  • Support a healing mission that impacts thousands of children and seniors with disabilities
  • Help guide animal‑assisted programs to survive, thrive, and grow across the U.S.

Commitment: 1–2 hours per month, ongoing Minimum 6‑month commitment preferred.

Short‑Term Volunteer Opportunities: Project‑Based Roles (1–10 hrs/week)

Ideal for: Skilled volunteers, creatives, strategists, students seeking experience or academic credit, and anyone who wants to contribute.

Short‑term roles allow volunteers to jump in, complete a defined project, and make a fast, meaningful contribution. Projects range from marketing and website updates to operations, strategy, and event support.

Examples of project‑based roles include:

  • Email marketing & automation (CRM)
  • WordPress website refresh
  • Systems & workflow development
  • Social media content creation & publishing
  • Development support for fundraising events

Commitment: Flexible scheduling, 1–10 hours per week Minimum 1‑month commitment with weekly progress updates
