Impact Report Reveals an Increase

With children back at school, 1 FUR 1 was able to reach 43% more children and seniors with disabilities compared to the previous month. We’re excited to have had the opportunity to help children transition into the new school year with the loving support of a furry, 4-legged friend by their side. The the canine teams in St. Louis focus of this month is to speak to students about the emotional responses we have to things that happen to us every day. September Impact Summary:

• 13 Therapy Dogs In Schools in St. Louis delivered 34 sessions across seven facilities and impacted the lives of 431 students with disabilities
• 3 Therapy Mini Horses in San Diego helped over 118 child hospital patients and children with Autism.
• 5 Court Dogs In Action in Michigan provided assistance to 50 crime victims and family members which includes court hearings, forensic interviews, counseling and other community engagements.
• None of the 1FUR1 Ambassadors were able to provided animal assisted activity sessions in LA County or Chicago.
